PREFLIGHT CHECK

STORES inventory CSV stock value checker

Validate STORES inventory update values as integers from 0 to 9,999 or the supported unlimited value.

Check file

Analysis stays in your browser; the file itself is not sent to BlueprintLab.

What it cannot verify

Live service-side state, account-specific settings, remote server reachability and current master data are not asserted. Always prefer the latest official service information.

The same stock cell means different things in different update modes

STORES has you choose overwrite or increase/decrease before downloading the CSV. The file itself therefore does not always reveal how a number will be interpreted.

This checker first validates integer syntax and separates mode-dependent values as warnings.

A warning here does not mean the value is definitely invalid. It is a stop point for confirming whether the number is intended as an absolute stock level or as a relative change under the selected mode.

“Unlimited” is not numeric, but it is a supported stock state

The unlimited value should remain a literal stock state rather than being coerced into zero or another number.

Also check that spreadsheet software has not transformed the value.

Treat the result as a preflight check, not a guarantee that the platform will accept the upload. Account state and current admin settings can add conditions that a browser-only checker cannot prove.

A negative or very large integer is not automatically the same kind of error

Relative updates can be clamped by STORES at inventory boundaries. Because the selected mode is not encoded clearly enough for this local checker to prove intent, negative and over-9,999 integers are warnings rather than unconditional errors.

Non-integer text remains an error.

Live inventory can move while the CSV is being edited

Orders, cancellations and manual changes after download can make live stock different by upload time.

Use the broader STORES inventory CSV checker when you also want ID and structure checks.
