Input and settings example

1600 × 1200 px → width 800, keep aspect ratio → 800 × 600 px.

Source: up to 40 megapixels. Output: at least 1 px, up to 30 megapixels. PNG ignores quality. JPEG fills transparent areas with white.

What to know before using it

Web workflows care mainly about pixel dimensions; print quality depends on pixels and DPI together. Upscaling cannot create real source detail.

Common failure points

  • Changing width and height independently can distort the image.
  • Repeated JPEG saves can accumulate quality loss.
  • For batches, inspect per-file results and errors.

Practical example

For social media, downscale 4000px images to 1600px with aspect ratio locked, inspect a few outputs, then save the batch ZIP.
