PREFLIGHT CHECK

WooCommerce Images field and URL checker

Split WooCommerce Images entries and validate external image URLs and whitespace before import.

Check CSV

🔒 Analysis runs in your browser; the file itself is not sent to BlueprintLab.

What this tool checks

  • Comma-separated images
  • http/https external URLs
  • Whitespace and malformed URLs

What it cannot determine

This unofficial checker covers only rules that can be verified in the browser. Live account settings, remote server state and later service-side validation remain authoritative.

A valid-looking image URL can still fail during import

WooCommerce uses a comma-separated Images field, with the first image becoming the featured image. External images can use direct http/https URLs, while images already in the Media Library can be referenced by filename.

This checker catches what can be known from the CSV itself: malformed schemes, whitespace, suspicious path-style values, and duplicate references.

A public web page is not necessarily a direct image URL

Some cloud-storage share links open in a browser but redirect through a page or script instead of serving the image directly. WooCommerce guidance notes that redirect-script URLs are not supported by the core importer.

This local checker does not fetch remote files, so a syntactically valid URL is not proof that WooCommerce can download it.

Existing Media Library images use filenames

If an image is already uploaded, WooCommerce can reference a filename such as `image.jpg`. That is different from pasting a local Windows path or an arbitrary server path into the CSV.

A non-URL value containing path separators is therefore flagged for review rather than silently accepted.

Image order matters too

With `main.jpg, side.jpg, detail.jpg`, the first item becomes the featured image. Review duplicate references and intended order before import.

Remote access, SSL, and redirect behavior still need a small real import test because they depend on the live servers.
