IMAGE CHECK

Mercari Shops bulk image upload preflight checker

Check image formats, the 8 MB per-image limit, 1 GB batch size and duplicate filenames before bulk upload.

Check images

🔒 Checks run entirely in your browser.

What this tool checks

  • jpg / jpeg / png format
  • 8 MB per-file limit
  • 1 GB selected batch limit
  • Duplicate filenames
  • Selections over 10,000 images

What this tool cannot verify

The tool does not claim to verify live service-side master data, account-specific state, or network reachability that cannot be established reliably in-browser. The service’s own validation remains authoritative.

Input and settings example

Select the intended images and review format, size and duplicate-name findings.

It does not judge image content or product eligibility. Confirm current upload requirements with the service.

There is more to check than the 8 MB per-image limit

Mercari Shops bulk image upload supports jpg/jpeg/png, up to 8 MB per image, up to 1 GB in one upload, and a retained-image limit of 10,000 items.

This tool checks those browser-verifiable limits together before the files ever reach the service.

Duplicate filenames become ambiguous when the CSV refers to them

When you upload local image files first, the product CSV refers to them by filename in the product-image-name fields. Two selected files with the same name make that mapping hard to reason about.

The checker therefore treats case-insensitive duplicate filenames as errors before upload.

Uploading the files and assigning them to products are separate steps

A successful image upload does not by itself attach those images to products. The CSV must later reference the uploaded filename, or it can use a linked image URL instead.

Keeping the file-upload step separate from the product-CSV step makes failures easier to locate.

Then verify the names inside the CSV

After the files pass this check, run the Mercari Shops image name / URL checker on the CSV. Mercari Shops supports product image fields through image 20, so checking file limits and CSV references separately is useful.
