Use tool

How to use it

Calculate the pre-discount total, discount amount and final amount from unit price, discount percentage and quantity.

  1. Enter the original unit price.
  2. Set a discount from 0–100% and a quantity.
  3. Select Calculate to review amount due, discount amount and total before discount.
Before discount
unit price × quantity
Discount amount
before-discount total × discount rate
Amount due
before discount − discount amount
Quantity
Whole number of 1 or more

Three items at 1,000 with 20% off cost 2,400

The original total is 3,000. A 20% discount saves 600, leaving 2,400 due.

Tax, shipping and stacked coupons are outside this calculation. Keep the meaning of the entered price consistent when comparing options.

The same discount rate applies to the whole entered quantity

Applying 20% to each unit or to the combined total produces the same arithmetic result.

100% discount reaches zero due

The accepted discount range is 0 through 100; values above 100 are rejected.

Quantity is treated as a count

The tool is intended for whole item counts, so fractional quantities are rejected.

Displayed decimals are kept compact

Currency-like results use locale formatting with up to two decimal places.
