Keep this page open while the timer is running.

How to use it

Run a simple browser countdown using hours, minutes and seconds. Pause, resume and reset without installing a timer app.

  1. Enter hours, minutes and seconds. The default is five minutes.
  2. Select Start. Use Pause when you need to stop temporarily, then Start again to resume.
  3. Use Reset when you want to clear the current countdown and begin again.

For a 25-minute work block

Set 0 hours, 25 minutes and 0 seconds. Pause if you step away; pressing Start again continues from the remaining time instead of restarting at 25 minutes.

This is not a loud system alarm. Closing the tab or putting a device to sleep can prevent the browser timer from behaving as expected.

Pause keeps the remaining duration

When paused, elapsed time up to that moment is deducted and the remaining value is retained. Resume continues from that value.

A zero duration will not start

If hours, minutes and seconds all resolve to zero, the tool asks for at least one second. Negative numeric input is effectively clamped to zero in the duration calculation.

Use it for work sessions, not critical alarms

This timer is suitable for focus blocks, breaks and simple desk work. For waking up, medication, departures or other important deadlines, use the device’s system alarm instead.

Vibration depends on browser and device support

At zero the tool attempts a short vibration pattern. Many desktop browsers and some mobile environments do not support it, so do not rely on vibration alone for an important deadline.
