Mercari Shops lists half-width spaces outside the product-name and product-detail fields as a common bulk-import error.
This checker skips the name and description/detail fields and reports ASCII spaces in other cells with row and column context.
Values such as `1 ` or ` SKU001` can look normal in a wide spreadsheet cell even though the underlying text is different.
When an error appears, confirm that the field truly should contain no spaces before editing it.
Putting a field in CSV quotes does not remove the ASCII space inside the field. Quoting protects CSV structure; it does not make a prohibited space acceptable as data.
It looks for U+0020 half-width spaces. It is not a universal detector for full-width spaces, tabs or every Unicode whitespace character.
Use a broader text inspection when those characters are also a concern.
Management codes and JAN/GTIN fields accept a restricted character set, so removing spaces is only one part of the validation.
