Commas, line breaks and double quotes are not forbidden characters
They are valid inside a CSV field when quoted correctly. The failure happens when quoting changes where the parser thinks a field or row ends.
This checker reports CSV-parser structure errors and row-width mismatches against the header.
The goal is not to delete every comma. Keep legitimate punctuation in product text and fix the CSV quoting around it; validly quoted commas and line breaks can remain in the data.
A literal double quote inside a quoted field is doubled
CSV represents a quote inside a field as `""`. Spreadsheet software often handles this automatically, but hand-edited CSVs are easy to break here.
The checker uses the parsed file rather than searching for quote characters blindly.
Treat the result as a preflight check, not a guarantee that the platform will accept the upload. Account state and current admin settings can add conditions that a browser-only checker cannot prove.
The row showing the symptom may come after the row containing the cause
An unclosed quote can absorb a line break and make later rows appear shifted.
Start with the earliest parser error when tracing a malformed file.
After fixing quoting, verify the expected 59/60-column shape
A structurally valid CSV can still use the wrong ColorMe product format.
Run the 59/60-column checker next.
